ABOUT CAM & SOPHIA COACHING

Cam and Sophia have been involved in elite sport since around 2010 and slowly progressed into triathlon in 2012/2013. From there they made it onto the Scottish Team training alongside some of the best athletes and coaches in the world at the Stirling Performance Centre. In 2021 they decided to move down to the Loughborough Olympic Triathlon Performance Centre, where they trained alongside Olympic Champions and some of the best athletes in the country. They also gained several years of insight into world class physiotherapists, sports scientists, nutritionists and coaches. During this time Cam and Sophia competed at multiple international competitions, including the Junior World Champs, U23 World Champs, U23 European Champs, Senior European Champs and the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. They managed to overcome adversity during challenging periods within their professional athlete lives and work out how to balance study and work to achieve several international podiums and wins.
In 2025 Cam and Sophia switched their focus to long course triathlon (Ironman and Ironman 70.3 racing). Since then they have achieved podiums and wins across the globe, with Cam setting the Scottish Ironman record and recording the 5th fastest Ironman debut ever.
With all the knowledge and high level experience Cam and Sophia have gained during their time in the sport, they have always wanted to be able to pass on what they have learnt to help other athletes achieve their dreams. This is why they setup Cam & Sophia Coaching, initially launched as Kinetic Coaching in 2022, and rebranded in 2026.
Our philosophy is all about understanding everyone as individuals, as everyone has a unique physiology and background. Then we incorporate all the different coaching strategies we have learnt over the years and apply the best plan for you based on other life commitments. Most of our training plans are based around thresholds such as lactate threshold 1 (LT1) and lactate threshold 2 (LT2), whilst including VO2 work and endurance focused session depending on your goals and training history.

Cam and Sophia offer different coaching training plans. The two main plans are premium or basic, this applies for triathlon, dual-sport or single sport based on what your goals are and the level of coaching you require.
All training plans come with access to TrainingPeaks, premium version if you are on a premium plan. If you are on a premium plan you also get access to unlimited communication to your coach through WhatsApp and TrainingPeaks comments, including help planning your race season, chatting through nutrition strategies and working together through any injuries or illness. If you are on a basic plan communication is only through a monthly call or limited TrainingPeaks comments, with little input on racing, nutrition and other professional insight into triathlon training.

Cam or Sophia will set up an initial Teams call with you to discuss your training history, goals, facility access, equipment access and any other relevant details to get to know you as best as possible. From their Cam or Sophia will set up your TrainingPeaks account and start to plan your training when best suits you. Training Plans are uploaded into TrainingPeaks every week, unless another planning schedule is agreed beforehand.
For premium clients regular calls and WhatsApp communication will be required to ensure you are getting the most out of your training plan and to help your coach plan your training appropriately around work and your race schedule.
Payment for coaching is made on a monthly basis from the date coaching commences.
